Homework due Tuesday, April 29

Homework due Tuesday April 29th is to decide what aspect of Aspen you'd like to create a folleto (pamphlet) for. The folleto will be written in Spanish, but tonight's homework is to decide the subject you want to cover, and to write out the ENGLISH versions of what you'll put in the pamphlet.

Homework for Tuesday, 4/1

For Tuesday, finish finding the 20 pictures that represent adjectives from the list we used in class. Just finish with the pictures, then we will print them out tomorrow and write the adjectives on the cards so we can use them as flash cards.

Homework due Monday, 3/10/14

For Monday, make sure you complete your picture of yourself. Your picture needs to be COLORFUL, and it needs to have TEN SENTENCES about you. There should be pictures that go along with your sentences.

Remember that your answer to the question will always be either "Si, me gusta.....", or "Si, me gustan....", or "No, no me gusta....." or "No, no me gustan......"  There may be some vocabulary or words that you have to look up to translate.

Homework due Tuesday, 2/25/14

Homework due Tuesday is to answer the same questions that you did for yourself today, but you are going to answer those questions for some other person. So pick a person (could be famous, might not be famous), and answer the questions (still listed below) from the perspective of that person. So you will answer all questions in the yo form. Tomorrow we will ask you the questions, and we will try to figure out who the person is, based on your answers.

Food Preparation due Monday, 2/10!

For Monday, February 10th, bring in your prepared food for the project! Remember that you will video yourself during different steps of the preparation of your food, including all the steps. In the video, you are describing what you are doing IN SPANISH. And you use THE COOKING VERBS that we studied. Explain the process in the "yo" form. Example: "Ahora, yo cocino la carne."
We will watch the videos and eat the food on Monday.

Homework due Tuesday Feb. 4th

For Tuesday, please make sure you have completely memorized your lines you will be using for the Circo, which is coming up in just a couple weeks. You have your sheets, and you should practice from those.

Homework due Tuesday, 1/28

For Tuesday, please complete your list of "ingredientes" that we worked on in class. The list of ingredients should be in English AND Spanish. Your warm-up quiz on Tuesday will be to list your ingredients, in Spanish.
You should already have the following for your food preparation project: the steps to follow your recipe in Spanish, in the yo form.

Homework due Monday, 1/27/14

For Monday the 14th, please choose 1 of your recipes (from previous homework) and give the steps, in Spanish, for how to prepare the recipe. Use only the 8 COOKING VERBS that we have studied in class (so you may not be able to write an EXACT translation). You will also have to look up some of the vocabulary, such as the name of the ingredients in your recipe.

Homework due Tuesday, Jan. 21st

For Tuesday, you need to construct 5 sentences. Those 5 sentences should use any of the eight COOKING VERBS that you have been assigned to learn. The 5 sentences should be some or all of the steps that you follow to prepare one of the recipes that you researched for Monday. REMEMBER THAT YOUR RECIPES HAVE TO BE SOUTH AMERICAN.

Homework due Monday, Jan. 20th is to find 3 specific recipes for food dishes that come from a South American country. These should be researched online, and you need to email me the 3 links. This must be completed before class on Monday. Remember that the recipes need to be for food from South America. We will use some recipes in our cooking project.

Our next project will be related to cooking, so we will need to have a background of verbs to use. There will be a quizlet Monday over the following 8 verbs, so please make sure you know both the English and Spanish meaning of each:
